Repair a crack in Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com)
After setting the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) slab ("Granito Moderno"), we saw a crack which must've happened while moving the piece. It is at the sink cutout and (http://maplered.com) runs from the bullnose edlge in to the cutout. Nothing has chipped away (yet) but it feels like you could almost prick at it with your fingernail and (http://maplered.com) it seems like it's buckled just a tiny bit at the crack. In a couple spots along the crack, the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) appears a little lighter too.
I'm assuming I can fix it just like you do a seam (, but here's my question:
Should I open it up a little first? Like, should I lightly chisel the crack, making it a little large so that there's more of an opening to fill and (http://maplered.com) repair? The reason I wonder this is because on one side of the crack it feels just slight higher than the other side. OR, should I just leave it like it is because I can buff it out and (http://maplered.com) make it smooth with polishing pads??
